Don’t worry, we will be putting the submissions into the following age groups for judging: 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12.

Stuck? Here are some writing prompts...

You don’t have to use these. They are just ideas to help you get started if you are stuck.

You are at the lakefront and meet Champ.

While walking on Hard’ack hill you find a hidden cave that contains lost treasure. Is it cursed? Are their traps?

What is your favorite thing about Franklin or Grand Isle County? Why?

You wake up one morning and there is a cow in your front yard but your family doesn’t keep cows.

What if you had a magical wand? What would you do with it?

What is your best memory from a vacation that you took with your family?

What would happen if you woke up in a dog’s body.

You left for school and realized that everything is made out of candy. What happens next?

Think of a completely new imaginary animal. What does it look like, sound like, where does it sleep? What does it eat?

If you had a time machine, where you would go and what you would do.

Imagine you’re an astronaut travelling through space.

A pen, pencil, or marker that brings to life whatever it draws.

Aliens are attacking your town! The only ones who can save everyone are you and your friends!

Tell a fairytale from the villains point of view!

Describe your best day ever.
