We are a mobile library and literacy organization in Northwestern Vermont. Our bookmobile travels around the region bringing books and stories to families throughout Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. We encourage young readers to develop the skills they need to become lifelong learners and develop a love of books and stories.

Something for Everyone

We have books for everyone! From picture books to bi-lingual selections to adult books. Our library has over 9,000 books to choose from!

Little Readers get ready for Kindergarten

We work with childcare providers to provide opportunities for children to build literacy skills and be ready for kindergarten with a solid foundation in reading skills.

Community programs for all ages

We offer programs for all ages, From book discussions to community programs to pop up story time. We bring the library and programs to your community. We offer virtual and in person services.

We absolutely love it! We call it the book bus and it’s literally a field trip everytime you come. It’s amazing that you come directly to us. It’s something all my kids talk about when we plan our weeks/ months is the book library on wheels! My kids go stir crazy and pick out sooo many books; I have to remind them we have to save some for other programs! As soon as we get back inside they can’t wait to open up the books and read them. Not only has the bookmobile bus made them like books, it makes my kids want to read and learn about books. I absolutely love the fact that they can pick out what interests them vs me finding what they would like. We are blessed to have you!
